Chilean forces have retaken the city of Antofagasta clearing the way for the remained of industrial production to reach the shipyards in Valparaiso and Talcahuano. The Shipyard at Mejillones has been found to be intact, the Bolivians spending more time chasing the Chilean Armies than running the cities. Much of the interior of the provance is still in Bolivian control.
October 9, 1932
Purchase of a dozen Atlantean subchasers and a pair of submarines has been passed through congress. A pair of destroyers to be converted into subchaser tenders has been approved but payment will be delayed until next quarter.

The Armored Cruiser Capitan Tylor has returned to Talcahuano with Mr. Oyama. His disappointment with the treaty member has been balanced by the word that he has reserved a battlecruiser from Nordmark for Chile once it has finished its refit later next year.

Chilean forces have begin to become involved in trench warfare this spring as the Army of the North has placed itself and the Army of Coquimbo between the main Bolivian Army and Bolivia. With the Army of Atacama on the other side of the Bolivian Army, the Chileans seem to be trying to keep the large Bolivian force cut off from resupply and attempting to defeat it in detail. Naval Air units have been seen attacking Bolivian positions with the Air Force.
November 11, 1932
The Republic of Chile has announced a treaty with Peru to secure the northern border with Peru. Details suggest that the northern provence of Tacna might have been returned to Peru to ensure a secure border during this time of war. The citizens of Tacna seem to have a mixed feeling on the matter, as some wanted to return to Peru for decades while other want to remain with Chile. This paper suggests that the times ahead will result it a lot of moving of people in and around Tacna provence.

A loud protest over the "Bullied Border" Treaty with Peru has caused problems in Santiago this week. Government word has said that the results of the present war will tell if the fate of Tacna will matter in the overall scheme of things. "If Chile falls because our people wer too stubborn to accept help, than perhaps it deserves to fall."

Dreadnought Almirante Cochrane has completed its rebuild and been sent on trails for the next few months. A cruise out to Pitcairn Island for anti-pirate duty and back will work out her new systems and improvements.
November 30, 1932
Chilean Naval units are on alert and patrols towards Peruvean waters have been increased due to the presence of the Iberian Armored Cruiser El Cid and accompaning fleet. Chilean Armored Cruiser Capitan Tylor has been sent north as a counter short of sending the dreadnoughts. Armored Cruiser Capitan Oyama's fitting out will be completed within the first week of January.

Bolivian forces have managed to circle around the Chilean Armies and resupply their main forces, but not without the loss of much of the Bolivian Armored Forces. Grenade attacks and a few massed tank attacks have managed to destroy all the Bolivian tanks in Chile. If they have more tanks in Bolivia, is unknown to this press agency.

The standoff in Antofagasta seems to have begun. Trench lines cross the provence as the Bolivians attempt to keep the Chileans from taking back their lands.

The Black Planes of Iquique have started keeping the Bolivian Air away from the front lines and allowing the Chilean Air Force to bomb the Bolivian lines.
