Azerbaijani Air Force



The Azerbaijani Air Force has its headquarters in Ganja and has six aerodromes around the country.

- 1 Fighter Squadron
- 2 Recon/Liaison squadrons
- 1 Artillery Spotter squadron
- 1 Transport squadrons
- Tactical Bombing Group
- 1 Recon squadron
- 2 Light bomber squadrons

[SIZE=3]Equipment[/SIZE]
- 60 Ripon-Bloch 132 "Renegade" fighters (12 delivered 1936, 48 delivered 1937)
- 69 Polikarpov Po-2 general types (relegated to trainers)
- 32 Accrisius DB-2 "Wraith" attack planes
- 24 Accrisius "Banshee" dive bombers
- 8 de Havilland Dragon Rapide transports

Pilots trained in Turkey or Russia.

- 48 Avia B-534 fighters (given to Saudi Arabia)
- 24 Airco DH.9A reconnaissance/spotting planes (relegated to trainers)
- 32 Polikarpov R-5 light bombers (relegated to trainers)
