As the "Revolution" is ground to a halt, diplomatic preparations for a return to normalcy have begun. It is reported that the Foreign Office has began negiotiations with Australia for a trade treaty, and it is rumoured that some kind of agreement with regards to Antarctic exploration is also being discussed.

3 April
Troops of the First Marine Brigade entered Manila today! As the town had been declared an "open city" there were few problems however at least two "Revolutionary" snipers were encountered and terminated.

6 April
In a short, sharp engagement, the cruiser Calayan engaged and sunk the "Revolutionary" torpedo-boat Terror last night in the Visayan Sea between Roxas and Danao. The rebel vessel was surprised and quickly dispatched, with Calayan suffering no damage...

8 April
As scattered and shattered "Revolutionary" forces engage Indian, Japanese and Loyalist troops to the east of Quezon City, Acting-Presidente Juan Diego de la Vega triumphantly returned to Manila this afternoon; after a brief speech thanking the "people of this great city for paitently and fervently resisting the forces of darkness", he presented a "special medal" to Japanese reporter Akaibara Yayoko, who was trapped in the city during Generale Greco's coup and is rumoured to have put her sniping skills to good use during the "Revolutionaries'" time in power...

11 April
With the final sweeps for potential booby-traps completed, work has already begun on the incomplete ships in Manila's shipyards. Completion of construction of the destroyer Albatros and torpedo-boat tender Cordillera, along with repairs to the oiler Bambú, will be the first projects; work on the battlecruiser Bohol, which took a torpedo and several 13.5" shells during the initial action of the "Revolutionaries'" coup, has been officially suspended pending a thorough examination of the extent of the damage and studies by the Design Office of possible modifications to the vessel.

12 April
The first new vessel for the Marina de Filipinas was laid down today on the construction slip at Puerto Princesca. The destroyer Carricero will, along with her sister-ship Paiño scheduled for keellaying next quarter, will be the last of nine the "Cerceta" type destroyers to be built.

MdF design chief Commander de la Croix stated that all the exsisting incomplete vessels, along with the two "pre-'Revolution'" destroyers, will be completed as planned, however of the various "new" types of ships that were announced for 1929 construction late last year, only four submarines and a number of coastal motorboats will be constructed, the remainder being cancelled pending determination of the future MdF building plan...

23 April
What are believed to be the last "Revolutionary" forces in northern and central Luzon reportedly surrendered last night to Indian forces in the mountains east of Quezon City. Second Marine Brigade continues "clearance" of the area southwest of Manila, however it is not believed that any organised resistance will exsist in this area.

28 April
After a few weeks' R&R, First Marine Brigade was landed yesterday at Legaspi in southern Luzon, cutting off Revolutionary forces trapped in the narrow confines of the peninsular island...

We are pleased to announce that 'F.I.N.E.R.' Radio is now once again broadcasting from our Manila offices, following clean-up and repairs.

1 May
A further step in rebuilding our country following Generale Greco and the Communists' little coup was announced today, as the Manila Aeroplane Factory (which was severly damaged in the fighting) was sold to the Japanese Nakajima Aircraft Company.

The newly re-named Nakajima Manila Aircraft Company will reconstruct the facility and hopes to begin turning out new aeroplanes in roughly a year.

NAC owns 51% of the facility, with the remaining 49%, along with the licenses for the construction of Ro III and S.55 aircraft, retained by the Filipino Government.

"Revolutionary" naval power is reduced by one more, as a Japanese cruiser entered Puerto Princesca today with the torpedo-boat Prosperina follwing under the Rising Sun.

It appears that the Japanese encountered Prosperina during a patrol in the Visayan Sea, and the torpedo-boat attempted to run, but surrendered after being near-missed by several eight-inch salvoes...

Presidente de la Vega today announced that the Philippines has officially requested that units of the Indian Army remain in Luzon for an undefined period, to help restore and maintain order in the aftermath of the 'Revolution' until the Filipino Army can be reconstructed.

It is said that unknown forces on Negros Island have declared their island the independent "Republic of Negros" and have seized the courthouse in the provicial capitol of Bacolod.

Rumour is that they are not associated with the so-called "Revolutionaries", however no details are available at this time...

MdF officials completed an inspection of the fortifications on Corregidor Island yesterday. Reportedly the bombarments from El Fraile and various battleships destroyed the 10" turrets, however the weapons mounted in the concrete casemates, and the tunnels and bunkers themselves, appear to be intact...

Two A.24B bombers, believed to be the last aircraft in "Revolutionary" hands, attempted an attack on Indian vessels off Samar yesterday. No damage was acknoledged and both aircraft were shot down.

21 June
It was announced today that the Fuerza Aerea Filipinas has placed an order for 40 Curtiss B-2 "Condor" twin-engined bomber aircraft.

With the majority of the FAF's aircraft destroyed in the recent fighting, this marks a "new beginning" for the service...

27 June
It was announced that the last "Revolutionary" forces on Samar surrendered today. With the possible exception of a few holdouts on isolated islands, this was officially stated to be the "end of orginised resistance" by the insurrectionist forces.

30 June
The first stage of trials of the aircraft carrier Sulu have been confirmed as satisfactorialy completed. The vessel will now begin transit from India to her home country.

In related news, the Marina de Filipinas announced that it is inviting tenders to be submitted to equip the new carrier with torpedo bombers. Sulu's air group currently consists of 24 1MF fighter aircraft...
