Infrastructure

Just looking at Australia's latest infrastructure post, and it struck me that it was one country that has more drydocks than slips. Not a surprise, really, since most of Australia's ships to this point have been built in the UK, but interesting nonetheless.

Slips are all well and good if you're building a lot of ships. But after those ships are built, the slips become somewhat pointless.

Drydocks have far more utility, and aren't that much more expensive.

Canada, for example, has no plans to build any new slips. I expanded two slips as a quick way to get work started on my new cruisers, but any further infrastructure development will be towards drydocks.
