self propelled Anti-Tank-Guns (old folder)

After it was decided, that the CI-32L will be put out of service, the CADO (Chinese Army Design Office) investigated the possibility of another use of these vehicles.
On the other side there was the requirement of a self propelled anti-tank gun, a so called "tank hunter", so the TH-1 was born.

A total of 50 vehicles were built.

Yuán / TH-2

Since the serial production of the actual Tankdestroyers TD-28A is just getting started, but the High Command of the Chinese army decided to equip most of their divisions with tank destroyers, it was decided to create a further transitional solution. Based on in large numbers still existing, but decommissioned tanks of the type TM38M, the subsequent conversion was done.

A total of 120 vehicles were built till June 1943.

Td-28a

With the success of the new medium tank Tung Meng presents the next part of the tank family. Based on the MT-25A they build a tank destroyer, the TD-28A.

A first batch of 10 vehicles were build and the test phase started in the summer of 1942 at the army test site near Beijing. Upon successful completion of the testings it was decided to produce this vehicle in mass production. This started in March 1943.
