I'm working on a pair of replacement Protected Cruisers for the Chilean navy. The two currently under construction do not seem to fill the desires of the admiralty. So a new design with mixed armaments has been selected for them to ponder. Two variants of it are ready for view. The only difference between them in a knot of speed. The slower one is slightly more seaworthy and has a decent cross-sectional...the slightly faster one has a 1.00 overall.
Both ships use Italian 8"/53 cal cannon.
These ships are intended to be used with the Armoured Cruiser Tylor in anti-raider patrols. After some feedback, I'll see about adjusting the range to equal the Tylor's 10,000 nm range.
