Just noted I had something wrong in my lists. We´re not talking G-class submarines. Those have been scrapped in 1930/31 already. It´s the I-class which is now available (even though 6 have just been sold).

In 1937/38 the RSAN will also make some cruisers available to the market.

RSAN Kimberley and RSAN Welkom were extensively rebuild in 1924. They saw no combat action but were used for extended patrol and escort duties. Kimberley is at 99% and Welkom at 97% respectively. Price tag is at 2000 tons each.

Four out of six units of the Port Shepstone class survived the war. Operating from Douala they saw extensive wartime service but with the exception of Port Alfred (machinery breakdown in March - 84%) they are in nearly good condition (99%). Price tag is at 2500 tons each.

For those currently planning their budget for light crafts and escorts: Starting in 1938 there will be 6 slightly used light destroyers of the Pleiades class available. All units were laid down ´23/24 and need some maintenance but are otherwise in fighting order (various states 95%-100%). This includes the RSAN Elektra wich hit a wreck post-war and needed some extensive repairs. She´ll be in perfect trim most likely (given our rules and the massiv investment necessary to repair even minor damage). Price tag is at 300tons/unit.

Additionally there are a dozen E-class and G-class submarines available if there is a potential buyer out there. Price is completely open to debate.

Export O-30B class (German-UD6 class) class

(O-30 compl. 1938 at Vlissingen (Flushing)

When Germany bougth a Dutch O-30 submarine in the end of 1938, they bring it to a German yard, and rebuild it into a missile-launched-submarine, they're very succesfully, fast, and not so very expansive. you can fitted with difrence kind of missiles (it's to your country) Some other countries are interested and they were exports designed. They productions stoped at 1943. Guys whish like it, can get some. It's free, always pleace feel free :D

Australia is interested in the Port Shepstones if only to keep them of the market. If no other country makes a bid, Australia will offer 9,000t for the 4.

Nordmark has the entire 22 class destroyer class up for sale.

Mexico's already bough 18 destroyers in the last year, but one can not have too many destroyers. Mexico does a counter offer of 200t/unit for the SAE ships. While offering 250t/unit for the Nordish ones.

Any updates on this?

The only thing I can find in the encyclopedias is that R-23 and R-24 are leased to Mexico. Considering that the US now wants to sell its R class submarines, that means that the lease program comes to a end and Mexico has to give the subs back to the US.

The purchase can be seen in Q1 and Q2 1937.

Mexico has been out bid by another regular client of the Nordish second hand market.

Am preparing reports so I need to know if Peru is still interested.

Same for Australia.

Please drop me a PM on this.

Thanks.

(Other potential customers may contact me too of course.)

An early bout of planning sees the likely ships for sale next year [or this year if the offers are good] from the RN to be; the H Class submarines H23, 27, 28, 43, 44, the cruisers Caroline, Carysfort, Cleopatra, Comus, Centaur and Concord.

All are old but kept in neat trim with fresh paint and usual maintence. The subs come from the Far Eastern Fleet, the cruisers from the Eastern African/ Persian Gulf Command and Scapa Flow.

All interested parties contact me via PM.

The Australia offer remains on the table, as does the Mexican one with the Mexicans probably more willing to negotiate now that the Nordmark ships have been sold *grumble* (gotta be an AEGIS country...).

Sorry, the Cat and Hound class torpedo boats are already sold out.

So Peru is no longer interested?

Canada may be interested in the H class subs, under the usual conditions.

Not the Cats & Dogs but rather the Pleidaes class TBs...

As for Peru, I think that is up to CG.

Well, consider this: For 1800ts - the price of a single standard destroyer which needs 11 month to build and 6 month of trials - you get 6 fast escorts than can be used imediately and in 1938 still have 5 to 6 years of service in them without the need for a life extention refit. Not too bad, methinks.

ShinRa are you reffering to my H Class subs (heck this thread is getting confusing with who is buying what and what is being brought by who)?

If so they have already been snapped up (by a new export customer to GB).

The CLs are old folks but nicely painted and maintained. All need refits etc but at least they only date from 1915!
[Heck, I know your all waiting for those R Class!] :P

114

Wednesday, May 20th 2009, 4:20pm

I would have put a bid up for the CL's but they are too slow for my taste. I'm also kinda saddled to the 5.9" gun now rather than 6" or 5.5" guns.

As suspected elsewhere, Centaur and Concord have been sold to Persia.

Caroline, Carysfort, Cleopatra, Comus are still for sale.

Seems the British have some cruisers on the market but the Italian news are filling the market with anticipation. Just moved it up so offers can be posted here. Made more sense in my opinion that using the other threads.

Ships for Disposal

Generally vessels in poor material condition, unsuited to current needs or too expensive to keep in reserve.

Battleship Caio Duilio [Old, unmodernised, crew transferred to Vittorio Veneto]
Floatplane Tender Guiseppe Miraglia [increased number of newer aviation ships available]
Cruiser Quarto [old, poor condition, end of use as trials ship]
Minelayer Bari [old, hull strained]
Leone Class Destroyer Leaders [very heavily used over the past decade without refit]
Generale Class Destroyers [unsatisfactory design, heavy use in Atlantic lead to hull problems]
A Class Frigates [old, worn out] - Australia?
B Class Frigates [old, worn out] - Australia?
L Class Torpedo Boats [unsatisfactory design]
S Class Submarines [old] - China?
A Class Submarines [poor stability and habitability, more modern boats available]

Turkey is somewhat interested in Quarto. Perhaps if Italy can throw in a moderinzation preposal for her and the Turkish Yilderay class?

Honestly though I don't think their speed can be bumped up much more and their age makes them expensive to rebuild.

I'd forgotten about this thread!

Great Britain can offer the following;

Light cruisers HMS Caroline, Carysfort, Cleopatra, Comus (last of the old original C Class) and the first of the newer 'C' Classes, HMS Cairo, Calcutta, Capetown, Carlisle and Colombo.

Destroyers HMS Scimitar, Scotsman, Scout, Scythe, Seabear, Seafire, Searcher and Seawolf

Unfortunately, Ireland is neck-deep in another round of new construction/purchase, and so I can't grab those DDs for Contae-class DDE conversions. Ditto the cruisers. If you have anything in 1941 I'll have finished the current acquisition cycle and infrastructure improvement, though...
