Maybe I should offer the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia similar terms for a carrier.

62

Thursday, January 29th 2009, 5:30pm

Heh, the Saudis couldn't pay for it with only a half-factory.

63

Thursday, January 29th 2009, 6:57pm

Well they could, it would just take a while to do it!

True, true...

Hm.

*Gets an idea and looks to see if he can implement it in Q2*

this ship is bigger than several in service CVs that carry 50+ aircraft, it is bassed on the OTL USS Ranger and USS Wasp both of which Carried 70+ on similar size hulls. I think 60 is a fair assesment of its capacity

Well at least one good thing has come out of this for me, I've discovered Alioths 2 aircraft above what she should be able to carry as per her misc weight allows, closer to 53 aircraft (2,809 tons for aircraft, 191 tons for other Misc weight).

Using the preposed new rule set at 75 tons per aircraft seems more realistic though, which places her at 40 aircraft and no spare misc weight.

With reguards to Ranger/Wasp IIRC thats with deck parks, if we are talking hangar storage only that would drop closer to 50 mefinks.

It's not really a light carrier anymore, IMHO. A light carrier is 12,000 tons and carries 40 planes; this is a small fleet carrier.

True, but well its also a matter of how the Navy in question views it. Peru would be using it as a Fleet Carrier, but Light Carrier is more in referance to its displacement.

Same offer. Built your ship at 8% construction cost. Total cost 17280 tons; Bharat will take 1280 tons. 160 tons on first construction quarter, 140 on the next eight. Expected completion date December 1939. The cost for Peru would be 1920 tons for nine quarters starting in quarter 4 1937.

Tant, if you need the ship built, i'm sure that your AEGIS allies could do it cheaper!

that's what friends are for, after all!!

im fairly sure it will be Q3 or Q4 before I can start on any project of this caliber, at which point im fairly sure ill be asking my AEGIS allies for extensive technical assistance on the project, and it will likley be built in an AEGIS ship yard.
