On November 11th, 1935:

With it's economy finally resurgent, the Kingdom of Belgium will request to join the Pan European Trade Association.

The membership includes: Kingdom of Denmark, Republic of France, Republic of Germany, Iberian Federation, Kingdom of Italy, Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, United Kingdom of the Netherlands

According to Section III, Article 9, all signatories must agree.

Luxembourg and the Netherlands would both agree, as the three nations have been linked by trade treaties since 1921-22, and 1923 respectfully.

Since this needs the agreement of the members, can I get yea/nay from Germany, France and Italy ?

I believe Rumania or maybe Bulgaria also indicated interest.

I don't recall if I had indicated interest or not, but Bulgaria sees an advantage to joining, particularly if Romania also asks to join.

Belgium believes that it can offer competitive goods and services beyond the lowlands, while PETA nations already produce an array of products and resources which will welcomed in Belgium.

The 3 Petitioners

France after due consideration, and the generally positive consensus amoung the established membership, has no objections to the petitions for membership of Belgium and Bulgaria for entrance into the Pan-European-Trade-Association.

The petition of Rumania on the other hand is viewed with some skepticism at present within French governmental circles, however - if the established membership endorses, Rumania's petition, then Government of France will not oppose it - will agree to the Rumania petition for inclusion in PETA.

Belgium thanks all parties for the affirmation.

The Kingdom of Belgium looks forward to future trade bringing prosperity to both Belgium and the other members of PETA, as well as closer understandings between the peoples of the various members.
