Japan:
Mitsubishi G3M1
Onishi "Crash" Manzo!!!

With any luck he'll get lost or go the wrong direction and we won't have to worry about running into him (literally!)

Accrisius will not attend due to technical problems.

Someone'll have to help me with Canada's entry, since I don't have any stats for it, and I can't use planebuilder.

and you left out Pegasus ^_^

I need both crusing speed and max range for the following:

Fw 42B-1

Cruising speed, ~275 km/h (Fw 42A was projected for 260, assuming upped a bit due to the smoother aerodynamics with the deletion of the nose turret on the B and "smoothing" for the race.)
Range, ~2000km (historical projection up to 1800km, extra tanks in the bomb bay)

Model 114F

VEF I-14

EMB-35

RA posted a link to the specs for the Bellanca Flash in the original race thread, IIRC.

In a surprise move TNCA will enter the second B-7 Coyote prototype in the race. Pilot Juan Solitario, Co-Pilot/Mechanic Bartolomeo de la Bacca

Cruise Speed: 180mph, Max Range: 1,300 miles

Also the B-1 Condor will not be modified for the race, but will fly in strict combat conditions including 1,000 lbs of dummy bombs, the only changes will be limited to extra fuel in the bombbay.
Cruise speed: 170 mph, Max range: 1,500 miles

Brenner Comet
cruise speed of 264mph

I need cruising speed for the following:

Roll with the 323, I guess. 4 engines tho, not 6, and a little bit smaller.

The E-version used by Earheart had "long range fuel tanks", increasing the range to ?

But just as ugly! :P They actually look somewhat similar. I'm giving her:
Cruise speed: 130 mph, Range 2,300 miles

On the Lockheed, yes Im looking for the extended range version. All Ive been able to find is that the full tank capacity was 1151 gallons (6906 pounds of fuel).

Just to make things abit better I'll throw in a second B-1 Vanquish racer to offset the Accrisius setback.

15

Monday, May 14th 2007, 4:13am

From what I've been able to find on the web Earhart's L-10E with the extra fuel tanks had a range somewhere between 3500 and 4000 miles. 4000 was said to be the maximum with careful fuel management.

16

Monday, May 14th 2007, 5:06am

That's a lot of gas! I'll lower it a bit still enough to have the third longest range of any plane in the race.

L-10 Electra
Cruise speed: 172 mph, Range 3,200 miles

So long that takes into account that it'd probably be running as a flying supertanker. :P

As pointed out in my encyclopedia section the FD-2 is designed to carry two drop tanks to be capable of escorting the RSAFs new heavy bomber. Her original range of 1600lm will be extended to 2600km.

For the Brenner Comet I expect a range of 1800km. The plane is based on the OTL design Arado Ar77 which had a range of ~720km but in WW the Comet is a purpose build race plane so her range might be doubled (1500km).

Missed that.

Any last minute entries?

Iberia?
Nordmark?
Phillipines?
Peru?
France?

So I just need the cruising speed for the Indian entries (probably will just reduce max speed by 30mph), and the specs for the Danish entry.

That'd be a good idea. I just cobbled Indian aircraft specs from a jumble of vaguely similar historical aircraft. No "planebuilders"...
