Here is the 305mm gunned version.
She is fast, well protected, and able to take a beating and still make it home as her stability and survivability is almost unmatched.
I kept an incremental armour scheme to lessen the risk of getting much of the ship shot to pieces by HE and SAP from cruisers and secondaries

I did give her a very high cruising speed for operations in the mediterranean.

Lots of interesting designs, It looks like several of the designs could take quite a beating. No one seems to have gone for the 1932 or 1929 options but in most cases the budget doesn't seem to have been a problem.

I see the merits of a common calbre with the BB (14") but I'm worried that someone may think they can fight other battleships that could be 25% bigger.

Well then here is a 1929 356mm gunned version, normally i dont like using quad turrets, but the weight saving were simply to great to ignore.

On a 1929 design of this size and speed, this is against sim rules.

As mentioned several times before, there are a few designs out there from before 1929 with a speed less than 34 knots (hell even less than 31 knots!) and have a transom stern, despite the agreement we made.

A note on the Australian design; I don't think a quad 12" will fit on 80' of beam.

Well, as the ship is to be laid down later then 1931, does that rule apply?
If i understood Alt_Naval correctly the yera was an indication of the quality and standard of the construction, rather then the actual year, otherwise the option to build it at -29 -31 or -31 level would be pointless.

I totally agree with you there. Perhaps we should sim it a bit different then. Laid down in 1931 and Engine 1929.

On a 1929 design of this size and speed, this is against sim rules.

Normally I'd agree but given the fact we are now in 1930, I think tecnically" they could count.

Go Speed Go!

37.25 knots! Its like the Mach 5 with guns.

There are only a few destroyers that can keep up with that.

Chile might send in a bid, but it will be much slower than this and likely have wing turrets (more firepower forward while still having firepower aft).

Want 10, 12, or 14 inch guns? Or a selection of all three for flavor.

Think of an oversized Corageous, built in the 30s, same hull.

With exception of the length, that's the original Oyama design...at least on the base level of big cruiser-killer armed with 10 inch guns.

Sorry, no deliberate intention to copy. Just a case of convergent evolution I suppose. :)

Oh I know, I just wondering if it will have any supporters aside from Chile and perhaps Iberia with their El Cid.

Gravina, why not ditch all the armor? You might be able to reach the 40 knot mark.

Sure!

The only armour is the turrets and gun shields. She´s completely unrealistic, too much power and 8 shafts!
