THE TIMES 19.07.1921: Argentine fugitive diplomat subject of internat

The Times July 19th, 1921: ARGENTINE FUGITIVE DIPLOMAT SUBJECT OF INTERNATIONAL INTEREST
Following the surprising release of the arrested Argentine national, Mr Guillermo Gonzalez, from Nordmark custody, a number of peculiar incidents have come to light. Already on July 14th the Royal Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark announced that its ambassador to Nordmark has had to return temporarily to Denmark owing to personal reasons; this is now believed to be related to advance Nordmark notice of the release of the Argentine diplomat. The Danish government has also issued a request that Germany arrest the Argentine diplomat and extradite him to Denmark.

Following the arrival of the Argentine diplomat in Germany, the government of the Republic of Argentina announced its intention to reestablish a diplomatic mission in Copenhagen. Additionally, the same government announced that as far as it is concerned, the actions of its erstwhile Charge d'Affairs were of such a nature that the government regards him as having been without the protection of diplomatic immunity beginning July 1st, and furthermore Argentina has requested that German authorities arrest MR Gonzalez and extradite him to Argentina. The Argentine embassy in Berlin has confirmed that Mr Gonzalez has not yet appeared at the embassy, and that his current whereabouts are unknown.

This publication has not yet succeeded in gaining comments on this situation from the German government.
