What do you guys think? Is this acceptable or is it a bit large?

2 Sqd Sopwith Snipe (Fighter, Interceptor)
2 Sqd Bristol F2B Fighter (Fighter, Gen Purpose)

1 Sqd Vickers Vimy (Long Range Bomber)
2 Sqd Avro 504K (Trainer)

RANAS (Navy)

In reguards to the float planes I'd go with Sopwith Baby's, your already dealing with sopwith anyway.

10->15 planes per squadron

Looks about right to me...

Size wise seems fine. But aren't those planes a bit outdated for 1928?

You've got considerable problems when your frontline fighter is slower than bombers.

British deployment questions

Would Australia have frontline aircraft at the start? I would think the British would put their second line stuff in the colonies? Or did they place there better stuff out where it might be used during the 1920s?

They're a bit old, but I think their about right for the time. Most of these planes where still in service in 1928.

Anyway Im going to be updating them soon. And I dont have a problem yet with fast land based bombers.

Bear in mind that aircraft are a bit overdeveloped here - probably because there are more countries and hence more wars.

Perhaps more conflicts, but I've not seen too many more wars during the wesWorld 20th century then normal.

Yes some nations tend to be 10-12 years ahead of realworld tech levels. Personally I think the list Desertfox came up with isn't too outdated at all.

I wouldn't say the aircraft are overdeveloped here. There might be more of them, but they are the historical types.

10-12 years ahead of realworld? Great, now I'll start operating Spitfires.

I wasn't nessasarily refering exclusivly to aircraft, and besides why on earth would the Italians be flying British aircraft? Where's your sence of nationality?!!

It's being overshadowed by hindsight. :-)

I'd say we're a year or two ahead of the RW, at least I am both in heavier and lighter than air. The realization that The War to End All Wars wasn't has caused the worlds militarys' to step things up a bit.

I prefer the Italian models. They are better. I have a few things planned in the way of aircraft. One of them invovles Bugatti...

Carefull with those Bugatti's, Swampy may feel the urge to carry some "Raid" bug spray with him at all times.

"Bugatti" has no devense against the anti-Manzo systems currently in development.

(Unless they happen to be armed with BH-209 plasma cannons, then the hum alone will strike fear in the hearts of men.)

Bugatti's defense is to paint it blue and race it against anything else. (even jets)
