Bayerische Warenvermittlung AG

Formed in 1923 and headquartered in the city of München the firm acts as a wholesale and retail supplier to farmers across the nation and is among the largest purchasers of agricultural produce for marketing in both the domestic and international markets. In the international arena it also deals in the commodity markets, buying and selling wholesale. From the outset the company promoted modern agriculture, assisting farmers through its range of machines and repair services. Training was also part of the range of services, including such new media as films with information on large machinery for harvesting, storage and transport.

Today the firm owns or operates more than four hundred storage facilities across the nation, including specialised storerooms for the refrigerated storage of meat and dairy products, bulk storage silos for grain, and general purpose warehouses for other commodities. It maintains overseas offices to support its international operations, overseeing the purchase of commodities for import, participation in the commodities cross-trades, and marketing of German processed food and agricultural products abroad.
