Prime minister Chiang Kai-Shek only had a dry smile for ambassador Adamov. When the russian ambassador rose, Chiang Kai-shek said irritably "If you leave me now, you can leave China immediately, because I will declare you as a 'persona non grata'. You throw reproaches around without waiting for my answer. I do not let myself be treated like that by you. Either you sit down again and we talk like adult civilized people or I'll have you escorted to the airport right away. It's up to you." the chinese prime minister continued.

"Of course, I remember the warning from your government, but even then we said that we would not accept such behavior by the russian federation. You address the geostrategic interests of the Russian Federation, or the non-existance of chinese territory in the arctic. I ask you, what territory has Russia besides its coastal waters in the Arctic ? I only say one word - NONE ! Of course, there are several russian islands near the coast, such as the Ljachow Islands or the Wrangel Island and of course, we respect the legality of these properties and the associated expansion of the coastal waters. But the Chukchi Sea, and the Beaufort Sea and of course the complete arctic ocean are international waters. And the Bering Strait is the only way for china to reach the arctic ocean. And according to the "Convention on the law of the sea" you don't have the rights to block such sea strait for other nations. And by the way we can not make any commercial investments, as long as you unlawfully deny us the access to the arctic ocean."

"Petrograd's interpretation that we broke the neutrality agreement with the sending of the Zhuhai to the Bering Strait is just too ridiculous. Likewise the charge that the Chinese Empire keep an aggressive expansion course. In both wars you mentioned - in the war with the philippines and in the war with Josean, the chinese empire was the defending and not the attacking nation. You should stay by the truth here. The philippines were always been more a more pro-american country as a "pure" asian nation and thus they never really been a part of the SATSUMA alliance. And China has defended itself against Joseon and has not waged a war of expansion, only trying to restore its status before the attack. What many have forgotten is, that Japan has kept a protective hand over Joseon for years, and that has made the aggressive policy in Pyongyang possible. And of course, Japan presents itself later in the war as a "savior" when it realizes that with China a competitor has grown up, which shakes the Japanese supremacy in Asia. This scares the government in Edo."

"But back to the initial problem. If I understand your last words correctly, Russia is continuing to ban China from going to the arctic ocean for peaceful research ? Are this your last words ?" asked the Chinese Prime Minister to the russian ambassador Adamov.

Adamov patiently waited for Kai-Shek to finish, politely nodding in a few places where he agreed. In response to the Prime Minister's final question, he nodded in the affirmative. "Yes, Prime Minister, that is correct; we shall not permit the passage of any Chinese warships through the Bering Strait." He waited a few moments, and then added cheekily, "Good day, Prime Minister. Shall I instruct my driver to take me to the airport?"

If it were known IC, then the Japanese would invite Ambassador Adamov to Japan for a few days for some well-deserved R&R before he returns to Russia. :)

Thursday, January 11th 2018, 8:55am

"Ambassador Adamov, I hereby declare you as a "Persona non grata" and advise you to leave the Chinese Empire immediately. If you fail to comply with this request, you will be promptly arrested and interned. Your vehicle will be escorted by our army to the airport where you can board a plane to Russia or another country of your choice." After these words Prime Minister Chiang Kai-Chek pressed a button on the phone and two armed soldiers appeared in the conference room. "Gentlemen," the Prime Minister continued, "Ambassador Adamov wants to leave our beautiful country immediately, please make sure he does not miss his flight." And addressed to the Russian ambassadors. "You should go now."
