I was looking at the picture, and I think it might be necessary to enter a greater length for the upper belt than the Main belt.

Revised Carrier and Cruiser

By reducing the hangar armour to 50mm, it was possible to extend+enlarge it to the proper size. :-)

Also upgraded the MGs...

Why does the Sulu have submerged torpedo tubes?
A hybrid carrier/cruiser doesn't seem to be an appropriate platform

The original Urumi was designed to carry them as a defensive measure. Located aft, they'd be used (in theory) to shoot at would-be pursuers while the ship fled a surface action.

I've seen nothing to suggest this would work well, but I thought the idea a reasonable one for the time period.
