Very interesting. A lot of numbers to crunch and orbats to absorb. Certainly it gives anyone the shivers to see what might the RF has in WW.

But when you spread it around the world's longest land borders, and fairly vast non-ice coastline, its fairly thin.

The big news for 1943 is the transition of one Field Army in each of the Western Military District and Kiev Military District from Active status to Inactive status. This measure is a response to the RF government's perception of reduced threat in the West due to the formation of the Grand Alliance. Other transitions are the cascade of holdings of T-35 and T-30 tanks as the T-40 is introduced. There remains only one Mechanized Corps still equipped with the T-30 tank. Surplus T-30s in adequate condition are entering reserve holdings for wartime mobilization. T-30s deemed uneconomical to repair are being scrapped. More and more Tank, Mechanized, and Motorized units are replacing towed artillery with self-propelled pieces. Finally, the antitank defense of several Military Districts are being reinforced with an independent towed antitank gun regiment.

It is held by a Machine Gun-Artillery Brigade (3,200 men, 4 MG-Arty Battalions (12x 76mm each), 4 Gun Artillery Battalions (12x122mm long-range guns each)). The MG-Artillery Brigade occupies prepared concrete fortifications, and generally, a Rifle Division is assigned to each to hold field fortifications in the Fortified Region. The Fortified Region is supplied to be able to resist for two months in isolation.

10 Air Defense Regions organized, at Moscow, Petrograd, Kiev, Minsk, Murmansk, Baku, Vladivostok, Petropavlovsk, Okha, Big Diomede Island, and Cam Ranh Bay. Each includes 2-6 Air Defense Artillery Regiments, early warning radar, and C2 centers to coordinate the action of Air Defense Artillery Regiments and the PVO (Protivo-Vozdushnaya Oborona - air defense air force, flying interceptors)
