IMHO, you are trying too much on a hull too small for it.

Despite your attempts to find deckspace suffice to install armament, and despite the fact that deck height is off and size does not compare well for the 88mm twins and those 13cm guns, the overall sheme still shows a small craft, bristling with guns it is too small to carry.

Your side view now shows a lot of deckhouses that seem to be dedicated to house the large crew you`d need for all those guns, but where will you place magazines and lifts? Wher elockers with spares and water and food? I also wonder about deckspace you need to simply operate that ship and put it to sea....

That last side view seem to indicate there is probably enough abreast the superstructure - but actually I think this is not true should you every try a deck view. That hull is not beamy enough, methinks, with all its implications on stability too.

I do not really know what the ships mission profile is, but I assume it is patrol duty in general, probably also that of an escort destroyer, at least in coastal waters.

If so, I'd go with the first drawing, check deck height and guns size, shorten the forward superstructure a bit and reduce the forward funnel in size while I'd skip the aft one. I'd then move the single 88mm twin aft where the second funnel was (on level with the aft superfiring main gun) and place a 37mm twin on a raised platform behind, probably also adding a search light there. The guns in the bridge wings I'd remove as there will not be enough space. A deck plan could proof there is, in which case I´d install single 2cm there.

If that looks fine, I'd modify the SS file accordingly. If that's not possible anymore (ship built), then you will be devoted to an unrealistic design no matter what - and you may be best advised not to try to draw it at all.....

Just my 2 cents....

Incidentally, here's the sim of the original 1922 ship.

Uh, old stuff. I thought we were discussing a rebuild here.

Have these kind of twin mounts already been available in 1922? Given the date I'd expect more like a standard HA deckmounting, probably both guns in a single craddle etc. Much smaller and lighter than a fully stabilzed mounts as the one depicted above.

Have you seen the armor? 7,5cm on the main guns, 5cm on the secondaries.... HEAVY. All on less than 10m beam.

My advise: Don't draw, just hide in a cave with other old stuff and scrap as soon as possible.

Agreed; I wouldn't be surprised either to see those 88mm guns in single rather than dual mountings, as the SS1 sim doesn't say.

But i like my drawing :( ..... also i see there isn't any chance to draw it real ..... so let us talk about a redesign so the drawing isn't useless ;)

Could be a solution, but i think (looking at the drawing) the armament is really too much for such a small vessel, or ?

I think i will use the drawing for a rebuild (removing single heavy AA's , placing some smaller AA's etc).

placing two 20mm Quad AA-guns

@ Jefgte: something like this ???

Looks better now. I'd just remove the second level deckhouse aft of the funnel. You don´t need it. Instead place the upper quad on a platform and use the deckspace for a compass/searchlight platform. Just an idea?

I agree, I also thought the upper aft deckhouse needed to go too.

Agreed, then maybe the twin 88mm will fit better.

I think we are finally getting somewhere. I´d just switch positions of searchlight and upper quad mount. The 2cm Vierling weights quite a bit and there is no need o use a platform that high.

Indeed, coming along nicely.

Just a permutation between the 2nd 20mm mount & the searchlight.
(Searchlight on top position is on much much warship)
-------------
Place the pneumatics on the deck. On the hull, the ship lost them in heavy sea.
