Hi!

Can you please post your current fleet? How many capitals do you have (incl. under construction) and what´s your design history. I wonder what this would look like because you scratched so many vessels that were historically there.

Many Thanks,

HoOmAn

Exactly!
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Many thanks!

What happened to the Kongos? I find it somewhat irritating that a whole class is lost. It also has much impact on the building of new vessels, though. Japan is the only one of the larger navies that is far below its limits in capital ships....

I´ll guess you will come up with a very good story/explanation on this?

Cheers!

Re: Exactly!

Actually, Japan is below the limits in all categories. But the Capital Ships is quite noticable. I currently have 5 of them and 3 under construction while historically, Japan had much more. During WWI I assumed that the AR Japan was more active than in real history, supporting the British in Europe (maybe out of obligation since numerous of the older ships were build in Great Brittain) and loosing ships in combat, to mines an submarines.

What happened to the Kongo's ? The answer to that was in the AWNR: Japan of 10/20/1920.

To save you time to look for it, here is the article:

Quoted

- Still no sign of the Lost Fleet after 5 years.

Six years ago, October 20, 1915, a Japanese battle group consisting of four battlecruisers – Kongo, Hiei, Haruna, and Kirishima – and an 24 ship escort group, left Hakodate on a secret mission. They never returned back to Japan. Five years later, it is still not known what has happened to the ships. Admiral Tsudashi Aota, the only person who knew their destination besides the battle group commander and the captains of the ships, died under mysterious circumstances 20 days after the ships left. No documentation was found regarding the mission of the battle group.

[Note the error I made: I typed 6 years instead of 5 ^^;;]

So where exactly are these four vessels ? They are currently in the Twilight Zone. If I were to remove them from there, I would have to ask for Wes' approval. I don't like to change the list of treaty-limited ships I send to him. I already had to do that since I got a bit involved in a certain project of a certain player (who shall not be mentioned by name at this time) in which I required a certain type of vessel which I didn't have which was to be used by a certain group of people to perform a certain type of mission in order to assist a certain navy of the person previously mentioned (who still shall not be mentioned by name).

(Somehow, I have a feeling you know which project that is. If you want to know what type of vessel... just look at the types of ships Japan has. One type of treaty-limited vessel is not on the list. It was also mentioned in a short AWNR article).

"Somehow, I have a feeling you know which project that is."

How could this be? *g*

[Quote from the News Board:

"3.3 xxx and xxx shall establish a joint intelligence gathering institution."]

That´s guy who´s name should not be mentioned really has his fingers everywhere, eh? Destabilizising the whole reagion. Maybe we should take steps? (just kidding)

Ever thought about some kind of cooperation with others?

Square root of "certain"

I assume that you know exactly who the certain people are who require the certain type of vessel for their certain type of mission. I assume you also have pictures of them then so that you can recognize them if they attempt to do some naughty things in a certain nation controlled by another certain player (who also shall not be mentioned by name at this time).

If you want to take steps against this certain person, then you should know that he is allied to that other certain person since they have signed a certain treaty which has a certain... holiness to it.

Finally I have had some certain thoughts regarding cooperation with other nations.
Perhaps a certain nation believes it to be useful to ask for the assistance of that small group of certain people for certain missions to be performed...

I only thing I can say with certainty is that nothing is certain. *g*

You know, my ambassy (email proggi) is always open and welcomes those who step in for a visit.

So if you feel there is the need for even more certainty, fell free to step in....

A certain Tokugawa (who shall not be mentioned by name but is certain-ly not named Ieyasu) shall keep this offer in mind.

(I thought they only weren't allowed to fight on holy ground).

At least the ambassador won't have to listen to all the boring details of those swords.

Hurray for diplomatic language

That was arguably the most obtuse series of posts I've yet to read. Well done!

The Atlantian embassy is always open, but keep in mind...like Canada in its infancy...all weapons must be checked in at the door, they will be kindly returned in pristene condition upon your departure.

Don't let Lady Maeko hear this. It may begin at the embassy but before the Atlantians would know it, Atlantis could be turned upside down by her archeologists (notorious for moving mountains in order to find something). The possibility exists that Atlantis would need to be remapped and some of the ancient artifacts could mysteriously disappear.
