Paris...

Well, I am back. I had connection with my PSP but lost all connection after one night when the fire alarm went off. Laptop did pick up the point, but failed to make connection with it during my entire stay, but now at home with a cable in it, it works fine. :)

My camera has been quite busy a few days...

Day 1: 48 photos
Day 2: 1026 photos
Day 3: 56 photos
Day 4: 19 photos
Day 5: 12 photos
Day 6: 5 photos
Day 7: 12 photos
Day 8: 208 photos
Day 9: 1143 photos
Day 10: 615 photos
Day 11: 1015 photos
Day 12: 0 photos
Total 4159 photos taken, but I could easily have passed the 5000 mark were it not for the fact that at a number of events at the Japan Expo, photography wasn't allowed.

Did have a slight problem that I failed to check the camera settings so numerous photos with the 70-300mm lens are slightly blurry due to the movement of the planes.

Hmmm... I think they have watched too many Sci-fi movies with this flying saucer design...

Air Tracor. Proof that ugliness can be extremely cool. :)

Rafale with special occasion markings.

Not sure about this one. It was closing time and that area was closed so I could not see the sign.

Awesome pictures Walter!

Sometimes it is all down to luck and/or timing and taking multiple pictures with Drive mode like with the two Saudi hawks passing (one sharp and one blurry due to my standard tracking of the plane coming in from the right) or the Patrouille de France coming down for their break at the end of the first part of the show.

CG, you pay taxes, so the Irish people should demand that the government give you a proper airshow. :)

No doubt that for a proper airshow, you will need to travel into enemy territory (i.e. England). :D

It's the new paintjob for the season. Last year they had stickers on it. That looked nice, but this year it looks quite awesome.

Hm. "Bread and circuses" in Ireland becomes "whiskey and airshows"? :P

If they drink too much, it would be a waste to hold a good airshow...

With Tex's recent post in the Latvian encyclopedia, I spotted something he posted a while back in there that I photographed as well at Koksijde. :)

Nice...really nice photo, tho.

Crossing pictures are darn hard to take and they require a bunch of luck. I nearly got a perfect one of the Thunderbirds, but the one going to the left got its nose cut off. Trying action mode didn't help at all.

I know, but if you hadn't posted yesterday, I would have forgotten about it.

With those passes, I take more pictures now than I did in the beginning. With a little bit of luck, you end up with some good stuff.

Does look like someone has some toilet problems, doesn't it? :)
The Trojan picture did include a bit of luck to catch that effect of the condensation from the propellor tips spinning around the fuselage.
