The Argentine Government sends its condolences and the ambassador, Senor Felix Hermandez, will attend the funeral.

The British government sends its thanks to all the nations who have shown such sympathy for the death of the one world's greatest statesmen.

November 19
The de Havilland DH.98 Mosquito B.Mk.1 has entered service with Bomber Command. 105 Squadron at Marham has now fully equipped and a parade and flypast marked the occasion. 139 Squadron will shortly move to Marham to begin their conversion onto the new high-speed bomber which is capable of nearly 390mph.

December 2
A large menacing shape appeared over the skies of Cheshire in the early morning gloom and sighting reports have continued to pour in from the public to the police and the RAF across the country as it headed westward. By 10am it was clear it was a huge airship and in the brighter skies later that day knowledgeable schoolboys recognised her as a Canadian Columbia Class airship and some even sharper eyed boys noticed the giant red-white-blue nose roundel and large British roundels on her flanks. It was in fact the first of two such airships built for the Fleet Air Arm, HMAS No.1 Solaria, on her delivery voyage to the Cardington sheds. Her sister HMAS No.2 Olympia is due to follow in two weeks’ time.

December 20
Today AIRCO announced its intention to form the Arab British Engine Company at Helwan in Egypt. ABECo will be jointly owned 51% by AIRCO and 49% by the Egyptian government and will undertake licence production and overhaul and servicing of de Havilland Engine Co. types. It is thought that the new factory should be operation by the end of 1941 and will be built by Egyptian and British government funding. It seems likely that the Gipsy series of engines will be produced.
