I agree with Rocky: don't get too carried away. If it is within budget, you should see what the other's reaction will be if you go for 350,000 Euro.
(Who knows... they might go for 355,000 to see what you will do)

today's developements.......

Them = 345,000 @ 11:30am
US = 346,000 @ 11.45am
Them = 347,000 @ 5:30pm
Us = 350,000 @ 5:35pm

Well, I guess we will see what happens next tomorrow.

As for budget, anything below 382,000 will be at 3% tax, above will be 6%, and we have been provisionally cleared for a mortgage of 425,000.

Yes. Keep us up to date.
You know, it would be something if they were aware of the existence of the Wesworld, read all this stuff and then suddenly raised the bid to 425,000.

Good thing that I am some 6,000 kilometers away from you!
At least you can prepare for the worst. :-)

Ah, but you need to ask yourself, "Is 6,000 kilometers far enough away from the Mrs?"

Commodore: I have friends and family in Edmonton...we know generally where Walter is in the city so...if you get what I mean...

Nah, there'll be no fight. I have too much respect for Walter's 10.5 cm ninjas to unleash the dimuntive Danes. More likely the little vikings can put those axes to work cutting hay in my field.

Today's installment.......

the 350,000 idea didn't work!
Them = 351,000 @ 15.30
Us = 352,000 @ 15.35

here we go again.........

Wednesday, June 22nd 2005, 7:33pm

At least they didn't go for 425,000.

Don't call upon Murphy, Walter. The Admiral wants a new HQ.

What I meant was since they didn't go for the 425, the good commodore still has a good chance to get his hands on the house.

So where are we at in the saga now? Do you want me to ship the six inch vikings back to you for deposit at the competition's place?

If those guys come back with 353,000, are you just going to lay down 360?

Thursday, June 23rd 2005, 7:50pm

We are now up to 354,000.

Just back from viewing the house with the Father-In-Law, who was a building construction teacher for over 30 years,
and all is not as rosy as we thought......
He is concerned about some cracks at the tops of the doors front and back, refered to as "Settling Cracks".
We are going to try to get his other daughter's partner's Father, who is a surveyor, to have a look.

Cross your fingers people, this could go either way!!
