RA, thats preaty much what I imagined too, with to large mountain ranges on both coasts with plains on the southern portions of both. From Cleito to the west coast would be the most habitable while the eastern portion of Atlantis would be very similar to Morocco/Western sahara.
Again though it would be nice to get an experts opinion on the matter.
NEXT!
Oy vey...
"Marching through Georgia"
:-\
If it were a hurricane, they should have to rename it "Sherman"
(spits on the ground)
Believe it or not, (the remnants of) T.S. Tammy actually came closer to us than any other storm this season...
So far...
***
Subtropical Depression #22 came...and S.D. 22 went.
Tropical Dud!
Took a look at the mid Atlantic earlier today and it looks more or less calm. (though that doesn't mean anything.)
Annnnnnnnd we have a record!!!
Tropical Storm Vince: for the first time ever, a Tropical Storm with a name futher down the list than "T"!
(Hey Walter - check out that one model track!!)
Next will be Wilma...and then
Tropical Storm Alpha!
Looks like that dark green one ends at my front door. O_O
And on...and on...and on...
This one could get scary...
Current shot would send it north right toward you, Swamphen. Still a long way, but if it does go north, It'll be about Monday or Tuesday next week that it'll hit you...
Or it could pull a Charlie, veer east and hit me in Tampa. This should be an interesting week.
Or maybe (extrapolating from 5pm/16th) New Orleans again?!
Three is the charm, right?
So it is now officially Tropical Storm Wilma... and at this moment, it looks like landfall somewhere along the Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama coast...
But now it looks like Florida south of Tampa...
(Somebody tell Wilma to get a clue!)
*looks around for the T-Bird*
Looks like Tampa-Fort Myers...most likely Sarasota-Port Charlotte.
Great bowls of spaghetti!
The models have destabilised...again. Maybe Yucatan-Cuba???
Another cat 5? Good lord...
Yup...that's 3
The Yucatan-Cuba track was an aberration; apparently one "major" model (which fed several of the ones on the chart) got fed some data it didn't like...and now things are shifting back to the previous forecast...
...which does not look good for New England either!
