Commonwealth Adjustment

Just taking a minute to chime in that I haven't vanished into the ether, but I did have some issues with mom's care come up, and I ended up having to go through a rather convoluted move over most of the summer. When I get more settled, I'll try and pick up on getting the RCN/RAN up to my usual standards. In the meantime, the best way to ping at me if something interesting is going on is probably through discord - https://discord.gg/TS9TjSu

apologies for the delayed response - I got a bit caught up in local events I'm on staff for that kept me busy for the last month and change. The designs that include the auto 4.7" twin upgrades also come with new, lighter engine plants and other weight savings. The distributions may be off, but springsharp didn't seem to have problems with it. the upgunning of the Aucklands stems mostly from my well known preference for putting bigger holes in things. It was something I was fiddling with on a la...

Commonwealth Adjustment

Oz's industrial reports have been hammered out and brought almost up to date. Giving the board a chance to find problems with them before I move forward any further. Foxy had a Q1/45 report, but the comments on it were....contentious, so I elected to do the entire year.

Burnelli CB-27 Aigaion

Something to clarify, which Hood alluded to, but I'll say it outright - the CB-27 is a Canadian design, based on all the Burnelli lifting-body projects I've found roles for elsewhere in Canadian aviation; it's exact capability and whether or not Oz adopts it for it's own needs is up for discussion, but my long-term plans for the RCAF has always had them in the strategic bomber role. I'm open to input on how to put the stats together (deep Aviation is not my area of expertise), but in the end, it...

on further contemplation, i've decided to rename the Charon class to mimic Canadian practice of tribal names for it's large destroyers. I've dredged up a fair amount of names, and the Charons will be christened as; Koori Goorie Murri Murrawarri (Fair warning for Hood- the RN doesn't appear to have an HMS Maori, and the RAN will be wanting that name for a future ship)

RAN 1945+ catalog

Still debating the best approach for the DD modernizations, but I'm leaning towards the more expensive option for the additional range they get, among other benefits. In the meantime, working on refit options for the Auckland class light cruisers. First is a barebones life extension with basic AA and electronics upgrades, second is a more elaborate reengining and replaces the main armament with Canadian automatic 7.5" twin mounts from the PEI Quoted Auckland, Australia Patrol Cruiser laid down 1...

Commonwealth Adjustment

Quoted from "Hood" I am loathe to retconn too many British equipment sales to Australia so I'm focusing on home-built items and keeping everything reasonably modest. My kneejerk reaction for a lot of this is "buy Canadian", which generally falls in line with my overall feeling that the Commonwealth should be pursuing commonality whenever feasible, but I also want to make sure I don't default to Canadian too much simply because of my own bias. Another thing to consider is both Canada and Oz had ...
