Some of my ships are missing

Agree, carriers are expensive. I was mainly 'gaming' to see what could be done. I don't think I ever had sims for the special transports. They are like LSD's but RL Spanish Kanguru submarine recovery ship was the origin. I think in turn this was based on Germany's ww1 Vulcan recovery vessel so its more like a catamaran than a floating dock or moving dock as the case of the LSD's. As I didn't have an adequate way to sim a semi submersible I skipped it. Same for subs and light craft as Springsharp...

Some of my ships are missing

Wandered by (not about since 2010) to see Greece a shadow of its former self - all the carriers sold? Must be to pay debts.

Bowing out

Hi, As I've had zero participation for ages now it is probably fair to let someone else take Greece. Time and enthusiasm for naval things has sunk to zero and stuck there so letting go is probably the best. Many thanks, Bye.

Italian Strategic Defence Review 1938

Nice analysis RA, Quoted there is some kind of agreement with Greece already but me and Alt Naval never got around to a text It's along the lines of Greece and GB having common cause in the Med if either is attacked. If GB is attacked external to Med then Greece will back fill RN in Med while GB redeploys. Greece has been building up Suda Bay on Crete as a main base as being remote from both Italy and Turkey. The Greek buildup has focussed on heavy units as 'fleet in being' value while expanding...

Quoted Interesting that the conning tower is part of the pressurised section. I think this was the case for all subs (conning tower (where the periscopes were) above the main pressure hull). Note the schnorkel and well for the disappearing mount AA gun. Cheers, PS. Alvama - very nice drawings :o)

Quoted Do you happen to have any internal drawings on the class, I'm wondering what sort of an impact the trainable TTs have Little impact as they will be on the outside of the pressure hull. http://www.heiszwolf.com/subs/plans/planso21.jpg Cheers,

Add to that, the sloop probably doesn't need the high level of tech the Destroyer does - no electric welding, high pressure boilers etc. so could be built by a less competent yard. To illustrate my point on yard tech, contrast RN, KM and USN destroyers in the 1930's. US steadily improved their DD machinery, KM picked something ahead of its time and couldn't iron out the problems, RN plodded on with 1920's reliability. The RN didn't catch the USN until the post war Darings. Cheers,

Just use money! =simple Iron -steel-oil etc. = money and Springsharp already accounts for it and benchmarked against existing ships. Cheers.

Quoted What if Britain had allied itself to Germany in 1909? With GB in with the Central Powers, Russia would have backed down (probably would have told the Austrians 'you can have fries with that'!) over Serbia - no WW1. Cheers,

I subscribe to the KISS principle. Tech is simple - in SpringSharp its the "Ship laid down" and "Engine built". In wesworld its assumed that everyone automatically goes up each year which shouldn't be the case. Innovation is a crap shoot. It should be a game of luck here too. A simple POI - a million years ago the UK sinks into the Atlantic. What happens now ; ) Every European country has a mirror colony in America? Perhaps rather than playing empires we should turn it around and play a collecti...
