Considerations: French Antarctic Ships

THOU HAST SUMMONED THE SWAMPHEN. *cough* *cough* Geez, whoda thunk Ry'leth was full of so much slime... Anyway! Orcas. It's been a looooong LOOONG time since I've thought about ye olde Filipino boom-boom ships; unfortunatly my Spring* stuff is two computers dead and I seem not to have mentioned whatever eeeeevil schemes *twirls mustasche* I had planned for these ships... However! I think my memory is telling me that the intent of these floating penguin farms was that they were, when the sudden b...

Brilliant work. I love it. Well, aside from the fact you killed Zorro! *has a thought occur, does a search* Hmm. There was a plotline regarding a certain someone that would be...maturing around this time. Specifically, Señor Litvyak's daughter would likely be in flight training by this point.

A blast from the past...

Hmm, I just might have to drop by IRC one of these days. Mostly use it for playing Exalted though. ...oh, and ShinRa, I saw these and thought of you.

A blast from the past...

Quoted Originally posted by BruceDuncan Alas, given the probable level of air traffic at this period in time, I would find it of limited use. However, I do appreciate it as a point of reference. No problemo. (El Presidente was going to pump quite a bit of funds into establishing airship/airliner routes before Real Life nommed me but good.) Quoted Originally posted by CanisD Yay, Swampy has returned! Oh crap, Swampy has returned! *puts fingers in ears and ducks* *Cigar-Smoking Filipino Penguin P...

EMB-42 Tornado II

Quoted Originally posted by Daidalos I doubt there would be any chance a developing country like Brazil could develop and build anything like this .... at least historically. Thankfully, we're hardly historical here.

New Nordmark Aircraft Procurement

A pusher radial might well have cooling problems; whether or not that would be enough to scupper the idea, at least before an actual prototype, though, is another matter. Lots of weird and wonderful things were tried out - it's entirely possible the designers might try something with a Big Honking Cooling Fan driven by the engine and pumping air through almost jet-engine-like intakes to try and keep the radial cool. Which, of course, begs the question of how much thrust the heated air from the c...

Nope, we looked it up, and other people have had the same problem. Apparently on Vista some recent AVGs have a thing where it won't let you download anything (at all - not even text files >.<).

Well, yeah, I vanished for awhile again. Primarily due to busy stuff IRL, busy stuff roleplaying online, and...well, a serious lack of motivation. But, there's also the fact that due to this computer being weird (more specifically, having had AVG installed on it... <_< ), I can't install Spring* on it. >.< So, either I can get down to it, play the Philippines and have somebody else design my ships, or I can step back and let somebody take it over completely again.

Hm. I'm too late to send anything for the Phillipines, aren't I... If so, a Fw 187 and He 112 will be present for publicity purposes only, and Presidente Garcia will eat sack whoever was responsible for delaying the entry form.

Back, again

Sorry for vanishing on y'all again. The last few months RL has been kicking me what with trying to find a job (and epically failing so far...), worrying about a good friend in a very bad situation who lives 500 miles away , family (ie still-living-with-the-parents) stress, etc., etc., etc. I'll try to catch up asap. ...providing the dying computer (there is a replacement waiting in the wings, though) and the potential jury duty this week let me.
