Cruiser drawing

Quoted Originally posted by BruceDuncan A very interesting collection! The only thing that looks out of place to me is the Kagero with US 5in-38 guns. The US gunhouses look too large for the rest of the superstructure, making the latter look too small. Hmm. Then I have to change the gun houses on the cruiser too. They we to be the same model. Will look in too that. How about now? cruiser got different gun houses too. Those are 130mm DP model of 1935

More drawings, they are early attempts I'm still learning. Those ships are from a A-H design discussion. Carrier is a AV Nisshin with CV Unryu superstructure with some custom made bits. Find a map for WesWorld2…

I think using the same map as before will not be a bad idea. And I also think that early 1900 will be a good starting point. I will look forward to what you will build.

Capture The Good, The Bad and The Ugly…

As a former player currently lurker I have little say. But I will jump the band wagon and say that simplicity is the best way to go about the rules for Wesworld2. The simpler the rules the better. Wesworld unlike the other sims is about designing ships and navies, and not about blowing them up in Jutland or Leyte type battles.

Various aircraft,ships and tanks

Thank You. As for the V-tail. I was only recently made aware of Bf-109G experiment with V-tails. But V-tail was used on Beechcraft Bonanza and Fouga CM.170 Magister. I decided on V-tail as it produces less drag and the horizontal tail surface will not be in the engine exhaust. There are other negative impacts of V-tail it is weaker structurally, but that was not known in the 1960's. A MACH 2 interceptor from the same setting.

Vought SBU

Great pic. 1930's planes were always interesting designs. It was the golden age of aviation, with many ideas tried giving us the variety that latter generations lacked. "Made in USA" planes usually had muscle car feel to them, while I am not a fan of that concept in aviation it gives them a unique look.

Mistubishi Ki-51

It maybe just me but most things with "Made in Japan" stamp on it look good too me. "Ugly funnel" that many of you are labelling IJN ships, for me is grace and finesse. Then again I like late XIX century French floating castles, so pay no attention to me or my taste in aesthetics. Back to the topic. Great drawing Sir. Keep them coming.

Trying to decide

My two cents. I am not a fan of intermediate designs. There are Capital Ships and there are cruisers. Either build a full BB or a 10t or under cruiser. Ships in between are odd ducks, white elephants. My two cents.

Ships for World Tsar Michael version 7

Linear galleon "Tsar Ivan the Terrible" Now that is one scary ship. I do however have doughs about turrets of 380mm placed on sides. The weight is not the only issue. Under water protection is another. The size is actually quite conservative considering some of the ideas that were put forward on this board. I also like the French ship very much. I always liked the way the French superstructures. And Japanese Funnels.

Dude, the Commonwealth's secret projects aren't secret when you tell everyone! *scratches head* Good too see that the over all situation did not change much while I was away. Me? I'm patiently waiting for the fifties to switch my tank guns bore. 75mm is what I happy with.
