Most of the RCN's major building programmes complete in early 1948, so I'm looking at what other projects and priorities should be taking up space in the yards The RCN currently has; 5 Fleet Carriers, one being used for Commonwealth Training, plus Hermes in reserve 5 Capital ships, all commissioned or modernized in 1937 9 Frigates in service, with the 5 Effinghams laid up. 8 Light Cruisers, all recently modernized 12 Patrol Cruisers, plus 3 being used for Commonwealth Training 4 Light Frigates 3...
meanwhile, deep within the mysterious Canadas
None of the Nord players have ever been interested in letting me start my evil domino-chain global conflagration plan.
There's also extremely high demand for steel produced prior to the first nuclear detonations, for scientific applications, and the number one resource for that is old (even sunk) ships.
I wouldn't say I'm AWOL, I've been posting batch updates for Canada when needed, and if I'm needed for anything, pinging me in the IRC channel will get me fairly quickly. There isn't much new to post for Canada, short of a war breaking out.
Quoted from "Rooijen10" Quoted The turrets will be used more or less as is, though as you point out they may need additional elevation, though I suspect the General Class gunboats had enough elevation to lob shells far enough inland for counter-battery work and fort-smashing. They're about 10 years or so old, so I think that the mounts may be modern enough to have good enough elevation for them to work that no alterations are needed. I don't think I ever specified the exact elevation degrees fo...
Quoted from "Hood" Unlike the RCN, the RN does not use an autoloader for any of its 9.2in guns (I think the RCN uses them, I could be wrong though). When doing the master plan for the RCN's final gun evolutions, it was determined (OOC) that a 9.2" Automatic would not be a viable weapon. No doubt the RCN has tinkered with the concept anyway, but it has not resulted in a deployable weapons system. The 9.2" guns in service on the Serapis class are the same weapons in service with the RN. Quoted fr...
A bit late, sir, but I remind you Majestic is still in service in the RCN, and has retained her RN name.

Brief introductory note; Due to ease of my own sanity, I simplified the mass-production of 48 sloops by numbering them in the reports, but to the detriment of my own sanity, I did research 48 Canadian rivers, so they do have the following names; Assiniboine Attawapiskat Annapolis* Anderson Back Chaudière Capilano Coppermine* Dubawnt Dauphin Eastmain English* Inch Arran Gatineau Gander Great Slave* Kicking Horse* Kazan Kootenay Koksoak Hoodoo* Horton Margaree Mackenzie Nottaway* Niagra Nipigon Fr...
so, having briefly skimmed this giant wall of text.... IC - The Dominion of Canada continues to reject and will ignore any Japanese claims to territory beyond the internationally recognized 3 mile limits. Any attempts to harass or board Canadian or Commonwealth flagged vessels in international waters (as internationally recognized per above) are at the perpetrator's own risk. OOC - This infodump may be new, but the gist of this has been around for a while, and Canada has already tested these cla...
I've felt bad about being relatively inactive and not really explaining why, but it mostly involves matters I haven't wanted to talk about. The most relevant is probably that my mother suffered a major stroke about 8 months ago. I found her a few days after the initial stroke, and she has complete paralysis on her left side, and numerous cognitive deficits. She has not made any improvement in that time, and is not expected to recover. I am her only surviving relative of note, and it has become a...
