Talons 1948?

True... I feel Hood needs to take action though as he needs to defend his title of "Ugly Aircraft, Inc".

Talons 1948?

Quoted Perhaps awards for the best looking aircraft as voted by the participants or something of that nature. Yes. Some gold figurine for the best looking aircraft, a gold brush for the best paint job, a lead turd for the worst looking aircraft and a lead broken brush for the worst paint job.

Talons 1948?

The original format worked out just fine I think. Using those three classes makes sense. Maybe some mini prizes for each individual event. I'd love to see it return to Wesworld, though it is unlikely that the Japanese will participate. The Travesty of '34 was the main reason Japan stopped going. The public wasn't really impressed by the fact that the Japanese Military decided to continue to go to the events after 1934. Numerous politicians weren't too happy either and eventually the funding for ...

Hopefully no errors... Note that the Nisshin Maru conversion cost is based off 6370 tons instead of 6480 since the Umi II is a new vessel and therefore the full 110 tons is paid for that one. Stats for the Umi II are the same as the 1945 built Umi (now Umi I). Japan's Naval Developments - Q3/1948 A. Industrial Allocation 27/27 factories producing warship material = 27,000 t. 29 tons stockpiled materials available. 736 tons transferred to Japan. 2,063 tons from scrapping. Beijing Newspaper Q1/1948 - Chinese news and events - January / February / March

IIRC, he did mention the departure stuff (similar to parador) but I don't think he posted any further details regarding the expedition. I was thinking back then about making a comment about it, but considering that the Canadians had been behaving themselves in the few years prior to their announced mission Pacifica was not too worried about it. The Chinese however had the Bering Strait incident a mere month ago so Pacifica as wary of letting armed troublemakers in the area. If the Chinese had wa...

Well, it is claimed by Pacifica. I think I might have mentioned something about it claiming all the waters between its islands as their internal waters (although that is a claim that should be dismissed by any sane nation). Still, it makes Pacifica feel bigger and more important than it actually is. ... and no need to worry about another international incident. As long as the Chinese behave and be proper guests, there will be no problems. If not, then I guess a few coconuts might accidentally be...

Beijing Newspaper Q1/1948 - Chinese news and events - January / February / March

Because Pacifica considers the area to be theirs and due to the recent incident in the Bering Strait, Pacifica asks China to remove all weapons from the Nanjizhou, both mounted and personal weapons. After that, the Nanjizhou is to report to port authorities in Tumon, Guam for inspection to make sure that there are no weapons aboard the vessel before they are allowed to travel to the Mariana Trench area. Failure to report to the Tumon authorities or should weapons be found during the inspection w...

Meanwhile, in Russia: 1948

Japan notices that all three nations mentioned for the potential role as arbitrator in the matter are former members of the Eight-Nation Alliance and therefore cannot be trusted to be neutral in this matter even if almost 50 years have passed since the Boxer Rebellion. Japan feels that a League of Nations member with little issues or conflicts with China would be better qualified as arbitrator. Due to certain events known to all, Japan has no love for China, who time and again have shown their e...

Neither "Z4" nor "KBM" work with the board's search option. I know it is mentioned in the news article you linked but without digging through many pages of German news I have no idea if it is the historical one or when it was introduced. According to wiki, it is similar to the Z3 but significantly enhanced.
