Soyuz Nerushimy-class, Russian Battleship laid down 1935
These are first Russian battleships laid down in seventeen years. Their gun layout has been criticized for limited firing arc of midships main battery turret. However, having all turrets on centerline with none superfiring permit adequate speed and armor, and unmatched weight of fire.
Upon completion of sea trial, these ships will serve in reconstituted First Battle Squadron, assigned to Russian Northern fleet.

Overall survivability and seakeeping ability:
Survivability (Non-critical penetrating hits needed to sink ship):
77,003 lbs / 34,928 Kg = 34.1 x 16.5 " / 420 mm shells or 12.3 torpedoes
Stability (Unstable if below 1.00): 1.17

- Overall: 1.00
Hull space for machinery, storage, compartmentation is excellent
Room for accommodation and workspaces is excellent
Ship has slow, easy roll, a good, steady gun platform
Good seaboat, rides out heavy weather easily
Notes:
- Main belt includes an 80mm decapping plate and a 335mm internal belt inclined at 15 degrees. 15mm of the internal belt is taken from the second torpedo bulkhead, which extends down from the base of the main belt. The 10mm third and fourth torpedo bulkheads also reach the main deck. The first torpedo bulkhead, extending into the bulges, is 8mm thick.
- Twin 130mm high-angle semiautomatic mounts simmed as triple mounts
- OOC Note: I noticed that I had simmed one of the 420mm turrets with 25mm turret face armor and no barbette. To correct this, I had to shed about 5,000 tons of fuel at full load and make her a bit smaller by reducing her BC.
