10.Mai
The Chinese Navy has decided to scrap the light cruiser of the Tone class. The ship was built in 1906 and therefore do no longer meet the requirements of modern warfare. In a ceremony for the last time the flag of the Chinese Navy was drafted, afterwards the ship was towed by two tugs to the scrapping-dock.

18.Mai
The seaplane carrier "HICMS Palk Bay" has been temporarily taken out of service for the period of its modernization. The modernization is scheduled to begin in the next quarter.

28.Mai
The Chinese High Command of the Air Force published a tender on a short-range three-seat tactical reconnaissance and army cooperation aircraft as replacement of the Nanchan N1-R1.
The aircraft should have a defensive armament of at least one MG and have a bomb load of round about 250kg. In addition, the aircraft should be on the grounds of redundancy, equipped with two engines. Both engines are also required to obtain the necessary speed and agility. Furthermore, a good all-round vision is required.

21.June
Starting today one of the first heavy bomber squadron is disbanded. The heavy bombers of the type Guizhou GA-5 will be scrapped. Under the new Chinese Air Force doctrine there is no longer any for this long-range bombers. Furthermore, this is also a sign of the desire for peace of the Chinese government.

Scrapped? No alternative duties available for the GA-5 like transport, recon, SAR or firebomber?
