New Russian ships for 1936.

Well, um, there aren't any. Sorry.

What there is is the beginning of a major program of refurbishment for several older capital ships, starting with:

The battleships of the Black Sea Fleet are really showing their age, and two of them left their main and secondary armament in the Far East when they were transferred to the Black Sea Fleet. Here is what's happening to them:

Imperitritsa Maria, Russian Battleship laid down 1911 (Engine 1936)

Imperitritsa Maria is getting new 381mm/45 guns in twin turrets to replace her triple 305mm/52. Other changes include increased deck armor, bulges, a reshaped bow, conversion to oil firing, new turbines, and a new AA battery. The 100mm guns are not all on side. The two superfiring mounts are located just forward and aft of the aft conning tower, thus able to bear on either beam.

Sevastopol is next.

Sevastopol, Russian Battleship laid down 1910 (Engine 1936)

Of special interest here is that R turret is removed, but the barbette remains, plated over. 888 tons of misc weight was added to reflect this. She is armed with refurbished 381mm/52 guns from the Imperator Petr Veliki class. Other alterations are similar to Imperitritsa Maria's.

Imperitritsa Maria has new 381mm/45 guns, because mounting 381mm/52s would require too great an alteration of her smokestack arrangement. Here are the stats of the new guns, designed to fire the present 900kg 381mm shell:
