Gendermerie Intervention Divisions
The Gendarmeries are the most heavily armed part of Persia’s Security Forces. Their main elements were the two Intervention Divisions created during the Persian Civil War. Both units kept their general wartime organization for the most part but some improvements were introduced to the unit in the period of 1939-1941. Their 37mm guns were replaced by Bharati Type 94 50mm antitank guns, their old British tanks were replaced by Skoda-Davao Lt-33 (P) (1) also armed with the Bharati 50mm gun, their motorcycle AT/AA units changed their guns for 25mm guns and a company of Sandspringer tank destroyers was added to the order of battle.

(1) Filipino built tanks order was not completed until 1942 due to the Sino-Filipino conflict.
(2) An additional battery added to the Artillery Regiment
(3) Varied models used; British, Indian, Hungarian and Czech trucks were utilized.
(4) Three battalions mounted in carriers, the last one was mounted in modified Tatra trucks plated over with 14mm of steel for protection against small arms.
