Nino Bixio and Venezia classes of Esploratori undergo partial reconstructions in to Avviso Veloce.

New 135/45 mountings added. New 47mm AA mountings, 600mm torpedo tubes on the centreline. New boilers and engines of 50,000shp increase speed to 32knts. Bow remodelled. New ASW suite.

No. It is the historical belt and deck armour fit. I didn't see much point in removing it. The Nino Bixio class has no belt but 40mm turtle deck. It'll only be marginally useful anyway.
