And meanwhile in Alberta, we have been having a good dose of winter. Snow, icy roads, and the temperature went from -27C to -6C. In a single day.

I has been an interesting experience; I am very glad that I haven't lost anything - in the next town to my south entire buildings were smashed, and beyond that houses swept away in the storm. Surviving with as little discomfort as I've had is humbling.

I would not be surprised if the voter turnout in New Jersey exceeds 50% of registered voters - which is rather rare any more - and if we get more than 50% turnout I'd call that a victory in any case, no matter who won.

Americans can be stubborn that way when we get upset. Unfortunately, the people who are responsible for this mess are not up for electrion this year.
