Design Conventions

I've been doing some rough design work for post-1927 German warships, and I've been wondering what the Wesworld ship design conventions are?

The ones I am aware of are:

- .50 Hull Strength for combatants under 3000 tons
- .75 Hull Strength for combatants under 6000 tons
- TDS for units with more than 25m beam
- Maximum 10:1 L/B ratios for large units
- Maximum 12:1 L/B ratios for small units

Are there any others that I should be aware of?

A torpedo bulkhead thicker than 20-25mm ?

Now that you mention it, while we did discuss as to what ships should have a TBH and which not, it was mentioned that they should be of decent size (so no 1mm), but we never went on to determine what the minimum should be which would be effective.
I think 20mm is good enough to be that minimum.
What do the others think?

We never really agreed on this one,IIRC. Some of us think beam should be the factor to consider, others think of displacement. The latter would fit to our other rules as displacement is the major factor our rules are based on.

It was proposed that every thip of 18000ts and up should feature a TDS but as I said, I can´t remember we agreed on anything.

No, we never agreed on anything to do with TDS thickness or presence. Its just that some people would use a TDS whilst others don't. I go for TDS on units with over 25m(80ft) beam, as D. K. Brown cites this as the minimum where it can be useful.
