your help is requested.

I´d like to put together a list of identification codes used by all player countries to identify their ships.

Examples:

RSAN (Royal South African Navy) Ophion
HMS (His/Her Majesty Ship) Hood
USS (United States Ship) Ranger

etc.

Please tell me what kind of code you´re using for your ships.

I keep Formosa and Pacifica simple:
RCN = Royal Chosenian Navy and CNS = Chosenian Navy Ship
RFN = Royal Formosan Navy and FNS = Formosan Navy Ship

For Japan I stick to the:
IJN = Imperial Japanese Navy and HIJMS = His Imperial Japanese Majesty Ship

I use Esperanto for Pacifica to make it a bit different(though I have absolutely no idea about its grammar):
RPM = Respubliko Pacifika Mararmeo (Pacifica Republic Navy) and ŜPM = Ŝipo Pacifika Mararmeo (Pacifica Navy Ship).

The Chilean Navy does not use a prefix on their vessels. (I've found no evidance of any used by that nation at all ever).

France's navy is the Marine Nationale (MN), and ship names include MN.

Russia's navy is the Voennoi-Morskoi Flot (VMF), but Russian ship names have no prefix.

Well, it´s easier when you write stories. Typing "RSAN Ophion" is much shorter than "Royal South African Navys battleship OPHION" or something - and it reads much easier too.

I used "SR" to denote "Ship of the Raj" when I started out and had absolutely no clue about the Hindi language.

Now that I have the resources to butcher the language in earnest, I'm going to take a stab at suggesting:

SR = Samraja nau Ranapota = The Emperor's Warship

BNS = Bharatiya nau Sena = The Indian Navy

Ship prefixes.....

Denmark - KDM
Siam - RSNS (although I have been using RTNS in error)
Iberia - No prefix used on ships' names
