How large are the turrets? I'm guessing around 40 metres or roughly 165 feet in length due to the drawings scale.

That's a pretty low freeboard.

If you do intend to sign the treaty, then this is not a bad CDS design. If you don't intend on signing (you don't seem to be in a rush), I'd probably spend my resources in other ways.

a) Don't like Dunkerque/Richelieu layout.
b) Don't like Nelson layout.
So now that the design has been mutilated and turned into this... thing, it no longer deserves my "Quite Liked" remark.
Like I said, it now looks like a mini-Yamato after a colision with a mini-Dunkerque...

Arrrr.

Could be worse, could be one of the 1890s French pre-dreadnoughts with the overly large ram bows.
(Or some Battleships of the Mark)
If this ship were a larger, faster, ocean going vessel (and had twin wing turrets so it could cover the aft a bit) a certain pirate might be interested in it.
